On Saturday, November 9th, 2013, St. Anne's School of Annapolis is hosting the 2nd Annual 5k Run/1 Mile Walk. This event is held in loving memory of Class of 2009 Alumna Sarah McMahon, who lost her courageous battle with AML in 2012.
The event will start in the school parking lot at 8:30am sharp. The 5k run course is an out and back format, and will follow Arundel on the Bay Road to Old Annapolis Neck Road and into Quiet Waters park. The 1 mile walk course will follow along the sidewalks of the same (shorter) route.
Online registration will be available through Friday, November 8th at 6:30pm. Walk up registration will be available on Saturday morning, starting at 7:30am. ***Please note - we strongly encourage online registration; supplies will be limited for those registering on race day.
Sarah was one of those rare, remarkable people who managed to improve the lives of each and every person she met, just by her inherent goodness, her wonder and joy in the world around her, and her dedication to making the most of every minute.
Proceeds from the race help us sustain the Sarah A. McMahon Scholarship for an incoming middle school student for the 2014-15 school year. This scholarship will be offered to a student who exhibits the same spirit of generosity, compassion and curiosity that Sarah exemplified and who would not be able to attend St. Anne's School without the help of this scholarship.
We invite you to help us remember Sarah's life and legacy: her unquenchable spirit, optimism, curiosity, and quiet determination to serve others and protect the earth.
Online Registration is now closed.
